Hi!
I have a serious prolbem at hand here, ive just bought me 50
pack recordable discs so i can burn Brave Heart etc, i have splitted
em in two files and mpeged them with TMPgen.
But when i load em into Nero the file cheking goes ok but still
i cant get Nero to actually create the VCD:s, its simply says
invalid field parameter and could not preform start disc at once.
Its driving me mad cause ive suceeded before with the same software
and i have no clue what so ever how to fix it.
So if any one could suggest some help or mabe give me a hollor
on MSN ide pruciede it wery much.

you might want to try to use VCDeasy or something like it to make an image of the VCD first, and then either mount the image with daemontools and do a disc copy, or just burn the image in Nero(under file)--either method should work...although using the daemon tools should be "foolproof"
--the only other thought I have is whether or not you have the "create standard compliant CD" checked(don't) -

What burner do you have? I suspect it's an HP/Philips, and either 4x or 6x write speed. Usually, that invalid field in... error is due to the writer not being able to write the small auido clips. How did you encode the audio in your VCDs? Just the regular template in TMPGEnc? That should be fine...also, try some different media, if possible. There's a chance that the media is to blame. You may also want to try a newer version of Nero.

I used the regular VCD NTSC templates in TMPgen and it has worked quit excellent on other movies i have made. -
I would suggest not splitting the audio and vidfeo. Just open TMPGEnc, and convert from divx to VCD directly. Then cut it into 2 files.
What speed is that writer, btw? -

Here's what you want to do. Open TMPGEnc, and close the project wizard. Then click open/browse (whichever it says, for where you click the video.) Browse to your movie, and open it. Click load, and choose the VCD (NTSC) setting. Click RUN.
Go to sleep at this point, because it will take HOURS!
When it's done, click file, mpg tools. Click the far right tab (merge and cut.) Click the drop-down box, and chose Video-CD. Click add, and choose the converted movie. Click the left curly brace, then move the slider to the middle of the movie, and click the right curly brace. Click ok. Type in a NEW name for the movie (brave1.mpg). Click run. This part will take about 3 minutes. See if this half will go into Nero. (make sure that the half isn't longer than 80 mins.) If it works (which it SHOULD), then use TMPGEnc to clip the second half, too. (Start the clip where the last one left off, and end it at the end of the movie) How long is Braveheart, and how many CDs are you putting it on? -

on that movie are about 800Mb large so they fit on one 90min CD each.
The computer i have has a 1.8GHz processor so it might not take spec
long to encode, those two clips where made on a three hours oncoding time om regular NTSC VCD template.
