  1. I am trying to convert a divx file using CCE. To enable me to do this I am trying to frameserve using virtualdub.
However when select the resulting .vdr in CCE, the program ( CCE ) just crashes and disappears.
I have noticed that people have had similar problems but I have not found a suitable answer.
If there is not one is there another piece of software I cane frameserve with that does resizing ?

    Cheers

  2. Sorry I should have been clearer.
I have changed to 2.5 after reading the advice of others but seem to suffer from the same problem.

  3. Do you frameserv with audio as cce seems to need audio to work, if you don't want to encode the audio in CCE just "untick" the box marked audio. Also try to save the file as "*****.vdr.avi" don't know if this have any effect but I saw that in a guide some time back.

  4. Change to AVIutl available at DOOM9's website and use the frame loader to creat a fake avi then load that into cce and when ever any diologue boxes open asking you to save after you press encode say no always works that way for me.I may be the only one but i think Virtualdub is the crappiest cature\editing prog that there is Frame serving is slow even without filters added and always made cce crash just after pressing the encode button.Try TMPGenc 2.25plus as the 2 pass is faster on my pc than CCE BY about 4 Hours ie DRAGONBALL Z ! episode takes 4hrs exactly using 2pass fast estimate search at 2320kbs average 1550 min.IT takes 8 hours 12mins to do the same in CCE 2 pass same settings and resulting cce has blocks while tmpgenc is perfect crystal clear on pc and tv and cce file has blue or green squares at random throughout the episode.

  5. Daywalker stop smoking crack Tmpge sux compared to CCE. CCE looks better and makes better audio. And CCE is about five times faster than Tmpge Ver. whatever.

When frameserving with VD to CCE SP 2.5, select a wav audio in VD. Leave the proxy mode alone. If you have an AMD CPU, uncheck audio in CCE.

Dude as long as it gets you through the day your more than welcome to keep believing in that little dream world you got going on there

Ive blown chunks that are a much higher quality than the colourless dribble CCE churns out thats when it works face it cracked or bought it is still an expensive peice of BUGGY CRAP.

as i said dude dream on one day it might be true HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH but this arguement has been had hundred times before and doesnt need to happen again

but you have to be pulling my leg
Honestly ya dont really beleive CC...forgot what its called now is better do you!.ok ill agree with the audio but who says i have to do it in tmpgenc

  8. Sorry Guys, but back to the original point. I have tried to serve using Aviutl to CCE and it appears to work ok. However I have problems when I try and load the resulting .MPV file intoDVDit as it says that it appears to be a .MPG file but does not recognise it as either NTSC or PAL.

Are there any particular settings I should be using, especially as I wish to resize for either DVD or SVCD.

    Cheers
