i ripped fr DVD
the source is NTSC 4:3
i m converting to VCD PAL since i am fr asia. my country std is PAL.
i m using tmpgenc, i chose template for VCD PAL.
everything fine.i followed all the instructions.
after everything was completed, i play back the rendered mpegs. i found that there are many interlacing lines.
i tried to encode again, adding a de-interlace filter and motion search set to Higher Quality.
i got the same result: many interlacing lines.
i suddenly had an idea. I choose the template VCD NTSC instead. u know what. the result is excellent. no more
interlacing lines.
my question is:why i face the interlacing issues if i chose
PAL template? do i miss out something?
pls enligten. thanks
