I seem to randomly get 2 types of moving lines on captures with the Blackmagic Intensity Pro (Edit: Sorry I meant the Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0!). (Not at the same time though).

    Capturing with s-video from a Panasonic NV-HS930.

I've attached video of both types. The large lines is obvious, the small lines isn't really visible due to the encoding to mp4, it is visible on the raw file capture which I haven't uploaded. See screenshot below for clarity.

I added red lines to indicate the direction of the lines and darkened in photoshop to make the lines stand out.

Ive tried adding RFI chokes on the usb cable and s-video cables to no effect. Also tried moving the devices around, unplugging devices from main. And tried different cables. Sometimes the lines disappear but can't seem to find a pattern. I suspect something is interfering with the USB cable from the Intensity to the PC. Would a mains conditioner sort the issue?

Edit: No aerial is plugged in to the svhs player.

I experienced this with the Intensity Pro 4K, while the same sources using the same cables plugged into every other capture card (in the same computer and others) were fine.

Well that's bad news. Perhaps the Intensity Pro is picking up RF inside the computer due to poor design.
Bassquake: Plug the computer and the VCR into the same outlet to eliminate ground loop as a possible problem.

Ok I tried putting everything on the same 6 way adapter from a single mains point. I did get the same small lines at first but they sort of went away after a bit, and now get a fine varied angled lines . See attached screenshot, darkened in photoshop to emphasize...

Not sure what else to try.

    Edit:

I tried capturing with nothing plugged in the s-video on the Intensity. See attached image brightened up, looks like a fair bit of interference going on...

Just to be clear, this is the Intensity Shuttle USB 3, not Pro as I accidentally put in 1st post.

Do all your s-video cables produce the same pattern?

Yes they do, I've tried different cables. But see the latest image I posted which is of no s-video cable even plugged in. Its just the Intensity Shuttle plugged in to the pc.
