Hi, guys
I play these puzzles ( www.thejigsawpuzzles.com).
When a puzzle is finished it is marked with a tick and saved ( I believe at the cookies ).
So, if I reinstall OS ( Windows 7 ), that information will be lost: How can I find out those cookies,
store them before the reinstallation occurs and reload them after the reinstallaion to recover that information?

Which browser do you use? Favbackup can do this for Chrome, and there are similar programs for other browsers.

There's an add-on for Firefox that works with the latest versions that looks like it should allow you to import and export cookies.

Hope this helps.

Cookies don't save online games progression, that's server side,if it was that way people would cheat like crazy.
I think,therefore i am a hamster. -
Regardless of if the game progress is stored at the server, it's a good idea to back up all the files in your Firefox profile folder.
That way, you can dump them back into your (new) profile folder if you should re-install the OS.
Profile folder can be quickly found here when you open Firefox:
Help>Troubleshooting Information>Profile Folder>Show Folder. -
Des: I followed your solution and installed that add-on but after all the information is not kept in the cookies.
mike20021969: So, I want to follow your solution but I don't know where is the HELP suggested.
After all I didn't discover where the information is stored.
Thank you. -
Mike200021969, of course I know where is HELP ( in portuguese AJUDA ), but when I call this menu It does't appear " Troubleshooting Information "!
Is there any other way to access to Profile Folder?
Thanks for your help. -
Or you can find your profile folder in Application Data. The exact location depends on the Operating System you are using.
I'm using Windows XP, and the folder is located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\<your username here>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\r******b.default
Check your Application Data folders on your computer.
Or read this: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox#Navigating_to_the_profile_folder -
Finally, Mike, I accessed the Profile Folder but only by means of the link you sent me.
Now let's see if I discover the file where " my problem " is stored.
Thank you very much.
