    I am having trouble in asking the right question about fonts . I need to know what I need to change the font in the picture! John

  2. It's probably a subtitle muxed into the MKV container . You can use mediainfo (view=>text), or mkvtoolnix to see if the subtitle stream is present. Or if you can toggle it on/off then it's probably a soft sub . If you can't toggle it, it might be hardcoded

    You can't change the font with plain SRT subs from the sub itself (only through the specific software player or decoder), you would have to convert them to something like ASS if you wanted the subs to specify the font

    Can you explain what ASS is (besides the obvious). What software manipulates it? John

    One thread is enough. I already told you to make ass subtitles with a font....or maybe image based subtitles.
