What's this audio effect called?

On 0:39 there is this sound effect. What's it called? I'm making this video and I want my audio to stop with that effect. So the song in my video needs to stop suddenly when you hear that effect. Does someone know how to do is? I use Sony Vegas. Thx

A number of elements:
Synth Bass drop
Power Drums (drum kit+gated reverb) hits
Synth bed/hit that is played in reverse for ramp at begin, sharp "attack" at end
Synth lead ringing loop w/clipped endings (possibly reverse clip also)
Way in the background: low synth bed using FM modulation + BP filter following envelope, possibly looped

There are likely more elements, but that's what I can gather from a first/second listen.

No "effects", just electronic music. Vegas can EDIT some of this (loops, reverse, maybe pitch), but it cannot create this. You need a DAW that can use either samples or midi with virtual instruments.

If you have to ask, you're not ready to tackle a job like this.
