  1. Here's where I admit I'm utterly clueless about computers. For a couple years I've been using Mpg2cut2 to clean up my Tivo videos to archive. It's always worked fine, but I haven't used it in awhile. I have a real lemon of a security software called Total Defense, and I may have changed some settings at some point, but now whenever I open mpg2cut2 and try to tell it to open a file, TD gives me an alert that it's blocking mpg2cut2.

Should I be scared to death that mpg2cut2 is trying to inject code? If not, should I a) allow once, b) allow always, or c) allow as installer?

  2. Mpg2cut2 is a clean program (at least version linked here on VideoHelp) so you should allow always. Or just upload file to VirustTotal and see the results.

Thanks. Just to be safe, I'll download and reinstall. But it's just a link- there's no guarantee someone hasn't messed with it. I wonder if anyone knows if "injecting code" is something the software should be doing....?
