  1. i am trying my first encode with this and it is producing vaf and ecl files, whats going on? what did i do wrong?

    i followed the tutorial (maybe not properly) and i haven't a clue!

    i cannot find a guide for total newbies and really want to get this to work before i even thnk about getting it.

    vaf is the video information file, that is necessary for VBR multipass encoding. ecl is a project file. Have a look at the cce manual and search the forum.

  3. I am trying to encode an avi using CCE sp and get a messge that I need to use an ecl file. Have you found out what that is yet? I cannot find anything in the manual either.

    Just drag and drop the source file into the cce window. If you select file > open, you can open a project file only. Of cource you can write the project (.ecl) yourself, but that might be quite heavy stuff at the beginning.
