  1. this avi starts out at 720x480 from my miniDV camcorder....

    I then export the movie from premiere settings the video size to 160x120 and audio to 8k mono

    its a 4minute video clip and its over 15MB in size! where am i going wrong?

    Don't know about premiere, but are you saving uncompressed video, sound like you are, if you want the file much smaller you should select a compressor and perhaps one of the DivX codec's you may have installed.

    If you cannot export to DivX, use Vdub to convert the file to a DivX AVI

  3. thanks for the reply.... i'll look again but i believe i am exporting it as Divx from premiere.

    Does the DV NTSC capture mode sound good?

    When you select the DivX try changing some of the compression defaults, mostly the audio if you can. Which divX codec are you using (fast motion) ??

  6. i'm using mp3 at 8Kbits, 8khz mono and i'm using divx5.0, i checked the settings and using one pass VBR and slowest performance setting, 625kbps encoding, 320x240 screen and bilinear
