Black screen and no sound. Whats wronge??

Hi,
I'm trying to make my AVI movie into a VCD. I did everything i need to do but when i do preview i got nothing, and even after i do the converting its still black and no sound. Help plz.

I also had this problem. You havnt said what movie encoder your usinr so we will say TMPEG.

To get video:

Option -> Enviromental setting -> VFAPI plug-in -> Change direct show multimedia file reader to either 1 or 2.

To get sound:

Try d/l one of the audio encoders. Look for links on the let of this page.

Sry for not giving info, but u were right.
I can see the preview now (priority number 1). i hope the conversion will work.
