I"m trying to convert my first moovie and have read the guides. Here is the problem the movie I downloaded is avi format I decided to use avi2vcd but it was taking to longhave a slow computer chip but still I tried and it stated that the audio was compressed so I decompressed it and then like I said it was slow. So I can-ed that project and decided to try to use TMPGenc and it was denied not supported(second guide down from the top using TMPGenc seeing it isn't divx. What do I have to do?should I just use the first guide divx to vcdThanks in advance Ed O'Neill

You may be running into problems with your AVI file. I too have this problem when I try to go from my DV camcorder to an editing program and then to DVD (or CD). I usually get an error that the AVI file is not the supported format. To date, my only resolution has been to "frame serve" from Adobe Premiere to TMPGenc and save as an MPG2 file.
Anyone know if I am right, in that how the AVI is made is the key here?
If so, I would love to know the right way to save the AVI (correct format) to make this work.
