Hi,
Can anyone tell me how can I successfully encode movies on a psp with 720x480 resolution?
I'm using Ripbot and it seems that the encoded movie won't play on the psp. Well to be precise, the encoded video has a 720x356.
Any ideas.
Any help would be much appreciated.

A quick Google search reveals that the maximum resolution for the PSP is 480 x 272. I do not own one, so someone else can give more specific information.

Hi, thank you for that.
Hmm actually I have converted a file with 720x462 and it plays on the psp no problem. I just add --sar 10:11 or --sar 40:33 on my profile in Ripbot.
My only problem is that when i do my encoding, if there are no .AddBorders after resizing, it wouldn't play. My problem is when I do AddBorders it seems that the resizing is not as smooth as just converting straight 480x272.
@Brainiac I'm sorry, I should have updated my original post as I was able to find a solution using Google Search, but I can't seem to find a fix for that resizing problem anywhere, specifically for the program that I use. -
Have you tried converting to the exact size of the PSP screen? As Brainiac stated the resolution is 480x272.
