  1. in SD I alwais uded the old In Sync Speed Razor 5.51 software but now I converted to the HD and Speed Razor does not exist.

It had nice things: infinite layer compositing (not an A/B roll); Editing as language; Effects with controls right on the image (this came out of my use of 3d tools) ecc..
but now I work with a Sony PDW-F800 Xdcam Hd 422 camera

what is the best nle to edit with .mxf files that resembling as much possibile to Speed Razor?

however is possible to have the infinite layer caratherics as Speed Razor?

    thanks to all

  2. To edit the camera files you need a big-boy NLE like Avid Media Composer, Premiere Pro, FCP(X), or Sony Vegas Pro. You want to maintain the entire structure of the disk or card, not simply extract individual mxf files in order to retain metadata and manage spanned clips.

Sony's content browser software gives you some imited ability to trim and convert clips, but it is not intended to be an NLE.

Do you know if I have to configure?

    thanks

you could give vegas pro 12 a try. they have a demo available. mxf is mostly a sony format anyway.

Avid's got some pretty high system specifications which it sounds like you may not be meeting. http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/compatibility/en267087

Vegas is a little more forgiving.

i don't recall whether that camera records 4 or 8 tracks of uncompressed audio.
