  1. When i open DVD2SVCD and the tab is "Conversion" a error pup up saying..
    "The vStrip file does not exit!" ? what does that mean. I have the DVD in the DVD-rom...

    what can be wrong?

    If you do not use smartripper (or equivalent) to rip the dvd first on your harddrive youself you can use the vstrip function in dvd2svcd
    It actually uses the program vstrip.exe for it
    The error is telling you that it can't find vstrip in the dvd2svcd program folder

    Look in \Program Files\DVD2SVD\
    If you used the bundle setup it should be in \program files\dvd2svcd\vstrip

    Try reinstalling the bundle version (and afterwards all the updates)

    ps: in the sub folders you'll all the utils dvd2svd uses

  4. I have 1333 Mhz athlon with 512 Meg SDRAM

    a 100 minutes dvd using VBR mode with 4 passes takes 10-11 hours
    (including audio/titles/muxing and the vcdimager)

    btw i always use CCE (in stead of tmpgenc)

    If you use CBR it will be 3 times faster (but not better unfortunately)
