I want an application just to track the editing marks where i want to cut, to fade, to speed up ... dont know. It should be useful if it can allow hotkeys to set the same hotkey as recording start (in other software) and other to set every time mark.

Any idea of free, portable, light software like this?.

What solution do you use for track the editing points?.

    Thanks!.

    Huh??

What are you trying to do: see how fast you can make an edit?

Are you just wanting a good editing software that allows you to place markers?

    More info needed...

    Haha, no no.

I just want to mark some points of the video in order to remember where i have to edit. I mean, like dying in a game and marking this time in order to cut the rest of the video reaching this point again. Or just speed up some boring parts.

Well, that's pretty much what my 2nd option question alluded to. I don't offhand know of any Player software that places metadata within the file, in an accompanying database or anything like that, though it's certainly possible.
But that's EXACTLY what a good NLE will have that feature for. While you're watching the clip, you hit a hotkey, it places a marker on the timeline of the clip (some you can name, others might just give numbers). Then you can go back and finely adjust the marker. Later if you actually want to edit using the markers as reference, you use combinations of GoTo+Marker#+MarkIn and GoTo+Marker#+MarkOut and create subclips, then you just work with those subclips.

    Freeware, forget it.

I dont really want another NLE software, i'm happy with Avisynth.

And i dont want to see the full movie again, thats why i need an stopwatch. I usually remember, more or less, the position of editing points, but not allways.
