  1. Hi there!

I`m posting here because I have a few issues encoding anime DVDs when I can`t go with Forced Film on DGIndex.
Thing is, I never get good results when I try to IVTC anime. I have tried a number of AviSynth plugins and got the "best" results with TIVTC+TDient on MeGUI, but it leaves a lot be desired. Then again I'm not sure what kind of source I have (MeGUI's analysis always fails...).

I did get superb results with QTGMC, but it's a bob and can't IVTC. I ended up with a 60fps video.

I don't care if it will take a while to encode. Can anyone help me find a better way to do this?

    Here's a sample VOB: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByvSeMrOEssgY2ZmZWhZQ1lHSkU/edit?usp=sharing

    Thanks!

  2. I haven't looked at your sample yet, but anime is often a mix of frame rates, progressive and interlaced. QTGCM() is the simplest method because they all meet at 60 fields per second.

Yes, your sample is a mix. So you can't IVTC to 24 fps. Is there a reason you can't live with 60p?
