Ulead Video Studio OR DVD movie Factory

Hi,

I have noticed a number of Ulead products are getting good reviews. I have just bought their Ulead DVD Picture show product to take still shots and put them on CD to play on a DVD player. I liked the way it was simple and does everything for you.

I currently use Pinnacle S7 for video editing from a DV camera, and put it back on to the camera, I will buy a DVD recorder before Christmas.

I have been considering a cheap Ulead alternative to S7.

Ulead Video Studio 6 seems good?

Ulead DVD Movie Factory seems to be the same product??

What is the difference between these two products, I'm a little confused.

There is also DVD Workshop, again appears to do the same job but costs a lot more!

Ulead's Videostudio 6 is a good program. Not all the features work as advertised. The tech support is terrible! If you email them about a problem, it takes 3 to 14 days before you get a response. I tried to return the upgrade I purchased from them. They won,t take it back. I would not reccommend Ulead products because of their poor, nonexistant tech support. Stay with Studio 7.

I tried the DVD picture show image suite and couldn't. As they had no support lines of any sort available I had to just buy the standalone DVD picture show program rather than the whole suite. Just cost them revenue....

Ulead Media Studio 6 is video editing and to some degree DVD Authoring with the plug in or the correct version of Ulead Media Studio, DVD Movie Factory is DVD Authoring and you cannot really edit as it has basic caputure and cut . DVD Workshop is DVD Authoring ( like Movie Factory ) with more features.
