Use a software that can burn in subtitles like freemake video converter, handbrake, xvid4psp, video to video converter.

  3. Or, if your TV supports it, place a subtitle file together with the video and with the same name as the video.

Those are all converters, they may stick but takes a lot of time, any other just for subtitles ?

If you want hardsubbed video, there's no way around it - you have to re-encode the entire video.

What model TV are you using? I'd wonder if it does indeed support separate-file subtitles, or subtitles muxed into a video container. If not, then your only option is hardsubbing.
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

For avi divx/xvid files try aviaddxsubs. I have read that it works on Sony TVs.

Hmm. Does your manual mention anything about subtitle support? I've found a manual - UK version, and I'm not 100% sure it's to the same TV - but it doesn't mention anything about subtitle support at all. Some comments on the web seem to indicate it should play subtitles if you have a .srt subtitle file with the same name as your video (movie.avi, movie.srt), and press the Subtitle button on the remote.

Also, if you do have AVI, do try AVIAddXSubs, as Baldrick mentions. I can't guarantee the TV will support it, though, but it shouldn't hurt to try.

Switchable subtitles (not hardsubs) that are stored within a video file (=container). If you can switch the subtitles on and off while watching the video on a PC, for example.
