  1. I want to extract the time of each scene change from AVI files I have on my computer and have it put into a text file along with the AVI... right now I have to highlight the text beside each scene in Pinnacle, then copy it into a text file to make my menus before encoding to DVD... major PITA factor.

    Any ideas?

  3. Thanks for the reply, I will look into it, in the meantime I found a freeware proggy called Scenealyser at
http://www.codecpage.com/Links.html with a bunch of other DV freeware and software

This one works quite nicely and will also split a DV file into multiple DV files based on the timecode, may be handy if you have a bunch of small clips that you want to use as stock footage or something along that lines... and will save them with their file name as the timecode
