I recorded a 8mm tape using ati tv wonder ve using a video camera in MPEG-2 mode.
It came out fine but when I took it to TMPGENC PLUS to make it SVCD compliant, the words were not matching the peoples lips. It was off about 2 or 3 seconds. I then took it to VCDEASY to make chapters. Then burned it using VCDEASY. The final copy was still off on the peoples voices. Where did I go wrong.
My settings were just like the settings in this website for MPGENC conversions.
When I do DvD to vcd it comes out fine but I dont use TMPGENC for that.
My settings for VCDEASY were also right from this site. Everything is fine but the voices being off. My audio is not matching my video on certain parts of the movie.
Could someone give me a little advice if you know about this topic?
Greatly appreciate it

I had this same problem converting an .avi to vcd. I used virtualdub to create a different .wav file.then when I used TMPGEnc , I used this .wav file for the audio source and the avi for the video source. Hope this helps in some way.

Try This:
Using TMPGE go to MPEG Tools and de-multiplex your clip and immediately re-mulitplex it. There are guides here on how to do it. -
There are many ways to prevent this problem, the best one is the use of a frameserver.
Virtualdub is very good for this job.
