ok im an utter newbie and I just have a few questions to ask.
OK first what is the usually birate for svcd's? I know u can use the birate calc but I just want to know what the usual birate is.
Second, how do u add a black border around ur movie in TMPGenc?
Third, is there such way to make ur videos clearer? like applying a filter or something.
Forth, what resolution should I make my videos? if I want to watch my stuff on my player on TV wat is a good size so that I cant see reconizable blocks?
Fifth, is there a way to speed up the encoding process?
and last of all, does the PAID/FULL version of the panasonic encoder leave the message "PANASONIC MPEG1 ENCODER" message on the bottom of the screen like the trial version?

i always use the bit rate calc
just chang the resalution from the source to something els other then it was originally like 4:3 (720,480) to 16:9 or somthing for the black line (dont know what you want them for)
if your american then vcd=325/240 29.97 fps if your brit vcd=352,288 25 fps svcd ntsc 480,480 29.97 fps svcd pal 480,586 25 fps
and no the message wont be displayed in the full ver
why would you wanna get the panasonic encoder when TMPGEnc is like a trillion times better -
when I use the birateclac , do I put in the average birate or the max birate into TMPGenc? also what should I put in rate control mode? constant birate, 2 pass VBR, manual VBR, automatic VBR or constant quality?
