I am currently using Tmpge 4.0 Xpress to try to convert Ntsc To Pal,So I did a little test and was able to take a 1Hr 40 min video and start the rendering then cancel it in about about 1min.It did save the clip and the output mpg properties still show as ntsc.I did place the settings in tmpge as pal??Any reason its still showing as this.

Umm...how about just cutting a small 5 minute piece of the footage and convert that instead of interrupting the program?
And...converting NTSC to PAL is a waste of time since PAL-country machines EASILY handle NTSC footage.

Thanks Hech54 I guess its more difficult the other way around as our players don't handle pal.Probably no need to convert then.

Roughly 95% chance it's unnecessary, but whoever you want to give this to could always be one of those rare people with antiquated TVs and DVD players who cannot handle NTSC video. But it's unlikely.

We have guides in our guide section for this kind of conversion if you really must do it, but almost always TVs and DVD players in PAL countries have sensible ways of dealing with NTSC video. This is the easiest way to do it, but do note that this method won't work in 100% of DVD players.
