    Hi,

    I can't find the proper arguments that will make ffmpeg run the x264 codec with the --bff switch.

    does anyone know the trick?

    according to http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=161531 you need to:
    1. add -flags +ildct+ilme to the command general command
    2. set
    tff=0
    3. specify:
    nal-hrd, vbv-bufsize and vbv-maxrate
    in the x264opts,...
