Stuttering VCD and DVD player

Hi, over recent months I have bought several set of VCDs from oversea and find them to stutter when played on CD-ROM on my computer. It seems to be a problem with the CD perhaps, but I went ahead and ripped the movie file off to my harddrive and played it with WinDVD, it seems that all the stuttering is gone when played on harddrive. My question is that, I'm currently looking to buy a DVD player, if I use the same vcd with "stuttering" on a DVD player, will it still stutter?

That question is impossible to answer. The best way to know is for you to try it on a stand-alone player.
