A few days ago i took my micro sd card from my cell phone to clone it from the micro sd adaptor it came with. And was unable to get my laptop to read it. On windows 10 or ubuntu. I tried a memory card usb reader no luck getting the card to read. On ubuntu it doesn't even find it. Windows 10 finds it from card reader But does disk not ready. No recover programs I use even finds it. It got so warm even time I used laptop card reader. Did the card break from being handle or from getting warm? Is there anything I can do to get the computer to read it to recover my cell pictures? If not anyone know a place located in Buffalo New York where I am located that will Be able to recover my pictures and videos for a cheap price from the micro sd card? Do you think I can reattach it from how to use it to try an recover?

Just the fact that is wasn't recognized properly greatly reduced the chances of recovering any data. Now that it's broken, I'd say you won't get anything. Nothing cheap anyway. Data recovery services generally run in the hundreds and thousands of dollars. In this case, you need a 3M certified tech to repair the card (which I don't think is possible) plus data recovery services.

there's no way to repair the damage you've done. the inside of a microsd card is all circuitry. toss it.

tried to include a picture of the inside of one but the forum isn't allowing an image upload.

Yes there is no hope anymore, as they say on this site: Recoverfab.com: Flash data recovery
    10. Can data from a physically damaged (broken in pieces, cracked, hairline crack, bent) microSD card to be saved?

This is not possible! The microSD card is almost entirely composed of a silicon crystal, with a physical damage, the crystal is broken and cannot be repaired. Data from microSD cards with contacts damaged by water or scratches on the back can be saved.

If you are lucky and registered it, you might get the card replaced by Sandisk, their warranties are up to 5 years. But look here for others with similar problems- google sandisk warranty without receipt

I recently had an order from a big supplier whose name starts with B... Oddly it came in two separate packages; the software nicely protected in its own box which was inside another box with lots of bubblewrap. The highend SD card blister pack was dropped into a plastic shipping envelope with no other protection. On arrival, the envelope was all grimy and perforated with what looked a bit like a footprint; the hangcard was diagonally folded, and the blisterpak protection was crushed down around the SD card. When I sent the distributor a couple photos, they rushed me a new card without even an RMA. Nice folks. SD cards are warranted for Xrays, water, temperature- but not crushing.

Don't throw it out just yet, the tech for reading a card wirelessly may come along some day..:]

btw, I just opened a Sandisk Extreme UHS-1 card package and there is an offer inside for a free 1 year download/subscription to RescuePRO Deluxe card recovery software.
I doubt it would fix your broken card, but might help others with SD corrupted cards.
