I have some mixed footage - 1440x1080 and 1920x1080.
Can I edit these together in AP? What settings shouls I choose for the project?

Yes you can
1440x1080 is 1920x1080 in square pixel eqivalents, so usually you would use 1920x1080 timeline settings
But exact settings used depend on source files characteristecs, output format goal, amounts of each footage
