I was wanting to use Adobe After Effects' roto tool but it converts my 1920x1080 video to 1440x1080.
    Is there any alternatives?

  2. Your source is probably 1440x1080. Is it HDV?

  4. Examine one of your source files with MediaInfo. What does it say about the frame size? What about the display aspect ratio?

When you load your source video into AE, what are your composition settings? (Composition->Composition Settings). They should be 1920x1080 (Preset: HDTV 1080 24)
And when you finish your roto function do you select Composition->Add to Render Queue?
Then select the Render Queue tab (next to the Time tab), then render your video this way.
I tried these settings and my final product did render to 1920x1080

There are no problems - only chances to excel.

This is really getting me frustrated. My clips wont import where they previously did before. It tells me it can't import them because they are damaged (which is untrue) or unsupported. first multiavchd now this. Something must be wrong with my OS or something wierd is happening. I left my PC on all night dling updates from Adobe. I tried both 24fps and 23.976fps with the same results, it will not import where it used to.
