  1. Sir,

I have taken some video clips with my Nikon D90 DSLR. I am a pure newbie on video and editing. A short clip of my file can be downloaded from here

I like to create a DVD from the file. I have avidemux program and DVDAuthorGui. How do I create a lossless DVD from the clips?

I am not able to make proper video and audio files using avidemux.

    I tried this way.

    1. Opened avidemux program
First set container which is marked as Format : MPEG-PS (A+V)
    2. Set Video = MPEG-1 (mpeg1video)
    3. Set Audio = MP2 (Twolame)
Audio ->Filters: Frame rate change = None
    Mixer : Stereo
Resampling (Hz.) : Turned on the check box and make it 48000 then clicked OK.

    Saved the Audio by :

Audio -> Main Track -> Audio Source = Video then OK

Audio -> Save and Save the I saved the audio as "video1.mp2"
Now, File -> Save -> Save Video and similarly saved the video as "video1.m2v"

Now, As soon as I try to author the DVD I am getting error from DVDAuthorGUI, "WARNING: The video framerate doesn't fit to the default project settings (PAL)! Continue anyway?"

I tried some changes with video and audio settings, but problem was not solved.

If you please guide me by telling me how to create the DVD it will be a lot of help for me. Thanks in advance.
    regards

    Search Comp PM
Load the dvd profile in avidemux under Auto->Optical Disc.

Or use an easy all-in-one dvd converter like avstodvd, dvd flick, dvd styler.

The D90 records in MJPEG....and you used the widescreen 16:9 option.
    Load the file into AviDemux.
Use the AUTO - DVD option
    Set your source to 16:9
    Set your destination to 16:9
SAVE the file as (your name here).mpg into a folder of your choosing.

  4. The source is 1280x720, 24 fps, MJPEG. For DVD it needs to be resized to 720x576 (assuming PAL, anamorphic 16:9), the frame rate converted to 25 fps, and encoded as MPEG 2. The audio must be resampled to 48 KHz, saved as AC3.

Thank you for the output.mpg movie. It will serve my purpose. But how do I create a 1280x720, 24 fps NTSC movie to 720x576, 25 fps PAL? I need that 16:9 AR in display mode, in which it was recorded.

Also tell me, how it will be possible to convert a 25 fps PAL, Interlaced video to 25 fps PAL Progressive video?

  8. Thank you very much jagabo. It went as smooth as butter. Thank you very much for this nice help.

Also, my best regards to baldrick, hech54 and manono for your serious effort. Actually I am not well conversant with the terminology as well as technology that is implied in all type of video editing. So, it was not possible for me to experiment all those things for which I am sole responsible. It is my ignorance.

My best regards to you all for your immense help. Thanks to this VideoHelp Platform too.
