Is there a free program that will allow me to drop in the .mpg file and have it split the streams so I can deal with just the audio?
I have Tmpgenc 2.5 it won't work, I have tried REJig and that fails. Belight won't work! Grr there must be something out there I can use but what is it?
Thanks in advance!

Try the basic Pazera Free Audio Extractor or AoA Audio Extractor. Both based on ffmpeg.

Thanks guys, I used the Pazera Extractor and it worked fine!
I KNEW you would have something for me.

No I didn't and I feel lame! I had the tools to do the job but didn't know how to use them :/ I ran another file thru TMPgenc and as you say it worked fine. This might be the first time I used the program for that purpose...I have to have SOME excuse anyway! lol
Many thanks to all.
