  1. Ladies and Gents - I work in a remote area middle of nowhere. I have ripped my DVDs to hard drive and watch them when at work (extended periods away). I am about to buy a new laptop and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the best way I could go about setting myself up ie external HD monitor to a smaller laptop, larger HD laptop - do I need HD? Good processor/RAM, HDMI output.

Sorry - usually have watched previously on an 18.4 inch Toshiba but that isn't an option this time.

    Thanks in advance.

As I don't suspect you are wanting to carry a laptop AND a monitor around (at least I wouldn't), go for the largest screen you can find/afford. Any current dual/quad core would be fine, it'll have Win7, so get 4GB of RAM.
