  1. GMaq,

    How do the bit rate compare? How will an MP3 audio file 320kB/44100/stereo will compare with a 320kB/44100/stereo AAC file? Same Or, the bit rate will be lower?

    Thanks.

    I have moved you to a separate thread. Don't hijack very old threads.

    How do the bit rate compare? It will be same. Or I guess you mean the quality? Probably very similar so you can't notice it.

    AAC will sound better in theory.
    At that bitrate, however, it will be hard to actually hear anything.

    Much of it really depends on the audio content itself.

    I searched the site for what I wanted and picked the thread.

    @Baldrick
    Thanks. I took the thread from search results. Didn't know picking old threads amounts to hijacking. But, thanks, I'll keep in mind next time.
    You answered my query!

    BTW, I don't see the new thread here!

    @lordsmurf
    Thanks, you too answered my question.

  6. At 320 kbps (stereo) you won't be able to tell the difference between AAC and MP3. At 64 kbps you'll hear a big difference.

    Thanks. If I get your point, an AAC file is superior to MP3 in quality at lower bit rate.
