    Hi

I have a clip that is a DiVx5 codec in a AVI container and i want to change it to Divx5 in a MP4 container
Now i have edited the clip MPEG Modifier (aspect radio change to AR 16:10) on all my clips

    << on some clips i >>

    then i have used
AVIMUX to take a section out and remove audio

Now when it comes to changing the container I have problem, the MUXXED MP4 does not have a movie thumnail and does not play well in VLC Player or Windows Media Player (it chuggs along at a slow rate)

also none of them work on my LGBD560 (through USB) apart from the one created in MYMP4BOX
but i'm still worried somethings not done right as its codec is H264, when the orignal is H263

I have used MP4BOX, YAMB, AVIMUX with no luck

Here the info on one of the edited clip << Attachements >>

I have tryed HandBrake instead of MP4BOX, YAMB, AVIMUX

Load clip into Handbrake <Remove audio> >> Video Tab >> CODEC MP4 FFMPEG >> then QP3 (or 4600kps) this gets me near the orignal DivX size

buts this method in just re-encoding

Can someone help me with some advice thanks

    Hi

I've been messing about with a few programs to sort this out

    I've now tryed

VirutalDub >> Import clip remove section and sound

    then

MPEG MOD change aspect ratio change to AR 16:10

    Now

I can not get the next Muxxing process to change the container from orignal AVI to MP4 as all the programs (MP4BOX YAMB) as when i mux, the ouput files fails to play really slowing and then switchs off half-way through (VLC and WMP)

So i had to change the Codec to H264 from DiVx (in MP4 container) as its the only way to get it working on all media systems

    I used HandBrake settings FFMPEG4 >> 4600KPS >> 2 Pass encoding

and it produce a file size roughly about the Size of the orignal (using average KPS)

I've played the clip on the PC looks good
Ive played the clip on my 32" LCD via BLURAY-USB looks good

But i want to ask the experts here ... Have I made things worse by Re_encoding from DIVx to H264 and should i have used FFMPEG4 or a FFMPEG 2

Ive Attached 2 test documents from mediainfo Before editing and after editing in hardbrake so that you can see if something not right

Just want to be sure before i convert all my videos

    any help or advice

    zack
