I recorded a program from my DVR with the hauppauge 1212 HD-DVR. The problem is when I originally recorded the program on my DVR I was having issues with my cable and the picture would freeze and the audio would go out for 1 second every 30 seconds. It plays exactly the same when viewed on my computer in the ts format, and that's fine. However, when I try to change containers by demuxing with tsmuxer and remuxing with mkvmerge, the audio goes out of sync. I believe this is because when I demux using tsmuxer I get a bunch of errors saying "bad frame detected, resyncing (something after this)", meaning it seems to be changing the audio in some way and the audio gets further behind and as the program goes on. Ideally I'd like to keep it 100% true to the original so this doesn't happen if this is even possible.
Any suggestions?

Hi, I had the same problem, I fix it by extracting the file with MKVExtractGUI2

@EmperadorCAD:
1. that post was three years old!
2. instead of using MKVExtractGUI2, one can simple use mkvmerge nowadys which would also take the time codes into consideration,...
