MeGUI crashing

I have been using MeGUI to convert mkv to avi. Lately, after updating MeGUI, I find that it has been crashing and not converting. I do all the steps properly as I'm very familiar with the interface. When I go to the queue tab and press start, the software blinks and stays as 'not responding'. It happens at the first step of converting DTS to AC3 Aften. Please help....
I use Win 7 Home premium and Trend Micro internet suite.
