All of my captures using VirtualDub with the AverTV HD DVR have resulted in videos with the audio about 75ms ahead of schedule. I suspect that 75ms is approximately how long it takes the HD DVR to convert what it's getting into the 4:2:2 subsample iteration.
For the time being, I've been making do with manual adjustments in Premiere Pro or whatever. But it would be far more convenient if I could tell VirtualDub that the capture card is inadequate in certain ways and the input needs to be adjusted accordingly.
The "Audio Latency Determination" option seems to do nothing at all...

Does the audio latency setting work if you set a fixed value? I've never tried it.
