    Greeting folks;

    I have a big project and need help. I am trying to cut scenes out of movies(Avi or Mpeg video file). I have about 300 movies and have to cut out about 5 or 6 scenes (about 2 minutes each) from each movie.

    What would be the best way to go about it. I do not want to re-process to whole scene. I also would like to be able to cut out the 5 or 6 scenes from each movie in on shot deal.

    I would appreciate any suggestions.

    Thank

    virtualdubmod

    direct stream copy

    that will keep the video and audio as is.

    Set your start and end spots and process.

    If you have a particular video vdubmod doesn't automatically open on its own use the avisynth template for directshowsource in the open window dialog box (it is under the file name selection window - it is not obvious but it is in the lower left of the open file window dialog box)

  3. For cutting MPEG video, you can use MPEG2Cut2. No reencoding.
