Not sure if this is in the right section.
After I ripped a BluRay with DTS-MA, I'm using Xmedia to encode to mkv. I'd like to convert the DTS-MA track to core DTS but I dont see the option. Is there a way to do this? If not, is there another program (freeware) that will? Is there a huge file size difference between DTS-MA and plain DTS? If not then I'll just leave the DTS-MA intact. Thanks.

Thanks.. but what about the filesizes? Is there a significant difference between master audio and core?

Well, "huge" is a point of view.Is there a huge file size difference between DTS-MA and plain DTS?
Anyway, the "normal" Master Audio format cannot be efficient, compression-wise, exactly because it "depends" on the lossy DCA core
. OTOH, and BTW, there exists a "coreless" version of the Master Audio format, BUT it's not / cannot be used for Blu-Ray authoring ( also, I haven't seen/heard any samples of the "exotic beast" so far
).
