    Hi,

    I have some software setup files saved in my external HD. Whenever I do double click to open them a popup message comes up and shows "parameter is incorrect". I have also tried opening through right click and choosing "run as administrator" but same popup message comes. But, they open correctly when I run the same from my laptop HD!!!

    Can anybody help me on this issue??

    Could be the software simply doesn't want (ie: support), having those files on a different drive, or on an external drive. Check with the software manufacturer.

    Hi Krispy,

    I'll do that, but why it is with .exe files only. All other extension files that I have in my external HD are running smoothly. Then what is the parameter problem with .exe files ??
