  1. I had authored a 40 minute movie with menus and chapters using ULEADS MOVIE FACTORY. On the pc when creating the menus, they appeared to highlight and the remote controls worked as they should in preview mode . However when playing vcd back on set-top player the menu items didn't highlight and it seemed the only way to pick chapters was to use the previous and next buttons.
Playback on the pc media player gave no choice of menus but would allow you to play the whole movie, you could however drag the playbar at the bottom and fast forward the movie to were you wanted it.(not the best approach)
IS THIS JUST THE WAY IT IS or AM I JUST PLAIN#^*$%^ UP?
Please help I would really like to make a respectible looking/behaving vcd. Can it be possible with this program?

    grimm,

The PCB function in your DVD player is ON or OFF? If It's OFF then you can not see the menu.

The VCD and SVCD format does not support hot buttons on the screen. Ulead numbers the thumbnails and you need to enter the number to go to that position in the file.

  4. Thanks fer yer replies. Yes Play back controls were a go and still no highlighted menus.
I kinda figured this function was not supported as everything else was a ok.
Too bad they couldn't devote a total authoring/writing solution with all the perks of dvd specifically targeted to VCD.
H'MM that would be too easy!!!!!
