  1. Dear all,

this is my first post so apologies if I don't give enough information.

I've been using Ripbot for a short time on Windows 7 Professional 64bit, but muxing always appears to freeze in the final stages. The mux appears to finish but ripbot continually states: "muxing".

I've used version 1.16.0, where ripbot would get stuck at "muxing: 99%" and freeze and now with version 1.16.3 it gets past 99% and just states "muxing".

This occurs for both Blurays and HD-DVDs converting to a 1080p mp4 file with pretty much all settings as default apart from changing the frame rate to 24fps.

I want this to work as I can only ever convert one thing at a time and then the shutdown feature doesn't work. I tried to check if it was just the shutdown command failing but in a powershell I wrote: shutdown.exe /p /f and it worked.

I've updated all the dependancies to the latest versions as well.

    Thanks for any help.

  2. I have the same thing going on regardless if it is converting to H264 (.Mp4 Container) Or Blue Ray (.Mkv Container) it was freezing at 99% now it freezes at 100% this is after I reinstalled ffdshow because it was not recognizing it for some reason out of the blue. I actually stopped using ripbot because of this when it was freezing at 99% then for some reason I tried it when converting to a .mkv from avi encoded blue ray and now it is freezing at 100%. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise it is time to dump ripbot for good and thats to bad cause I relly like this program it is very easy and conveinant to use. Thankyou in advance.

I would try uninstalling RipBot, then uninstalling all the programs it needs, then reinstall them, then finally RipBot. If that fails, try an earlier version of RipBot. It should have also given you some sort of error message when it failed. Make sure the versions of the programs it needs are the ones listed for the program as being compatible. I also wouldn't make any changes in ffdshow until you have RipBot working.

  6. hi,

i had the same problem : ripbot v 1.16.3 hangs at muxing. Now i tried v 1,15 to v1.16.2 and it completes the muxing job. So i stick to the latest working version (1.16.2) for now.
I looked into the changes and i tried using the mkvtoolnix, eac3to an h264 directory from the 1.16.2 version to the 1.16.3 version but it still hanged at muxing. I wonder where the problem is in this latest version???

But v 1.16.2 is working for me

Will try using the tools-dir from v.116.3 on the 1.16.2 version to see if this works. Then we can conclude that the problem is in the new ripbot.exe file i think

    >> tried using the tool-directory from v1.16.3 on v.1.16.2 and ripbot 1.16.2 still completes the process...no hanging here So i think it must be something in the new ripbot.exe file (v.1.16.3)

  7. Hi,
I had a similar problem with ripbot v 1.16.3, however I tried new version and it worked fine. The problem is that my son crashed my system and thus I had to "reboot" the machine. Now ripbot doesn't work at all, it feezes at muxing and other errors. I've tried many different variations of codecs, programs, but I can't seem to get it working...please help!

  8. It's me again. I've been trying like crazy to get this right, changing ffdshow settings as as more options. It still gets stuck on muxing at the end??? I've removed, loaded, wiped, cleaned and everything quite a few times. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
