I am going to convert a movie of mkv format with integrated dual audio of 4.96GB to 4.38GB with 720x304, 25fps, Divx Mpeg-4 codec + dual audio ac3, 448kbps 48000Hz, 6 channels both. so that it can be able to fit into a DVD of 4.7GB. the bit rate of video would be above 3000kbps and i also want to add subtitle
so I want to ask if i convert a file and burn it on to a DVD then,
It will be a playback on a home DVD players or not???
does i will able to change audio???
does i will able to make subtitle ON or OFF??
does a player also supports format like xvid.avi, mp4, or mkv??

  2. The Philips 5990 Divx/DVD player can switch between multiple audio tracks and subs when playing Divx/Xvid AVI files. Normal DVD players don't play Divx at all.
