LG BD 550 regional unlock?

Please help...
I am sitting on tons of Region 2 DVDs from Europe with all that available is an LG BD 550 from China...
Does anybody know how to make that play Region 2 DVDs?

Most BluRay players can't be unlocked. Samsung and Sony players of all types are almost impossible to unlock. Do you have the Insignia brand in China? A few of their BluRay players that are sold in the USA are supposed to be able to be unlocked for DVD playback, but I've read that you cannot upgrade the firmware if you want to unlock them.

Philips makes a few BluRay players that supposed can be unlocked only for DVD playback. Philips officially denies this on their website, but we have hacks listed for some of the players here at this website under our DVD Players list and reports that the hacks work. Again, do NOT upgrade the firmware on any player that you want to be able to unlock.

you should have looked for a cheap dvd player that is known to be able to be made region free before buying. too late now.
