  1. I have a DVD in the VIDEO_TS folder that can be viewed ok, but when I create an ISO out of this folder, then mounting the ISO, the regional code pops up when I tried to play that. I thought that was somewhat odd, but is there a way to remove the regional code under the ISO format?

All ripping programs remove it by default. You can load the video_ts folder or the ISO in Shrink and make sure it is removed when you click on Backup.

DVDShrink removes the regions and also lets you set your own region limitations.

  5. Every method described here is good, but the fastest and the best method I found is to use PgcEdit because you can enable/disable every PUO and region coding in detail or enable/disable all.

In PgcEdit select DVD/Region Code and press the "Region free" button. You can disable RCE in the same step.

For PUO, select DVD/Filter Prohibited User Operations.

And don't forget to save the DVD...

Free DVD (44kB) does it for RC, RCE, Macrovision + PUO in one button click, just point to folder.

True, but if you want to remove just some of the RC or PUO you can't do it with FreeDVD. With PgcEdit is piece of cake, not to mention that you can enable/disable PUO for each VTS, apart from the global PUO removing.

yes, but you need all that, unless you have some kind of instructional DVD you want to make sure parts can't be skipped.

for a movie, you want to be able to just watch what you want to watch, just disable remove ALL protection and PUO's
