Hi,
I'm new here. But, I've looked in the FAQ and searched the old posts and can't quite find an answer to my problem:
I've recently put together an instructional DVD using Ivideo on the MAC to edit, then onto a PC with Adobe elements 8.0 to create the front end menu I required (tried to do it all on the PC but, had loads of issues with crashing etc.,) Then authored the DVD to a folder from Adobe. Burn't the files to disc using Nero 6.
After a few trial and errors to get the compatibility issues sorted (plenty of useful info from this site) I ended up with a working disc that would play as a DVD on MAC, PC and domestic DVD players.... BUT, after running off 1000 copies I found some players wouldn't recognise the disc as a DVD - after sorting out the ISO file name issues and the Audio_TS folder issue ( I burn on a R-Quest 2100 which doesn't like to create empty folders) I now have a disk that works on 99.9% of machines.
But I am now getting the 1% complaining that the disc plays, but there is no Audio...
Apparently the Video is fine, just no sound. The customers that have experienced this problem all report that their players work fine with all other discs.
So, now I'm wondering 'what have I missed?'
Any suggestions anybody?
BTW: the R-Quest problem can be cured by creating a disc in Nero and using the R-Quest copy option. or by using Nero to create an ISO image and uploading that.
