  1. Hey guys,

I installed AutoGK for adding a subtitle track to a video file but each time I open the AutoGK program, it doesn't give the option to add a "subtitle track" and there is no "drop-down" menu at the side of the "subtitle/s track" window to allow you to add a subtitle track ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys

  2. After opening the AVI, hit CTRL-F8 and you'll get the option to add an external subtitle file:

  3. Thats great, thanks manono.

Do you also have to select one of the options in the "Advanced settings" window such as checking one of the boxes for "Display only forced subtitles" or "Use external subtitles" ?

Also, I have a few AVI's with a seperate srt file and when I preview the video file after adding it to AutoGK, it seems to add the subtitles automatically? So do you still have to use CTRL- F8 to add External subtitles if it seems to automatically add them?

Anyway, thanks again for your help and advice manono.

    Regards......

No, don't do either of those things when you're adding in your own subs.

No, it's just playing your SRT subs along with the preview video. When you add them using the CTRL-F8 trick, if both video and subs are named the same (Movie.avi and Movie.srt, for example), you should see 'double subs', one the one added to the video and one added by the subtitle engine of the player.

If you want those SRT subs burned into or hard-coded into the video, the only way to do that is with CTRL-F8.
