  1. Hi i have an atom powered media server and i run MKV2VOB on every file i get to reduce the need for audio transcoding to AAC.

Anyway the files seem to have the correct date but both Twonky Server, Nero MediaHome and other DNLA servers apart from lama kiss and kiss pc link cause some but not all of the files to have their duration incorrectly reported (which causes the renderer to stop playing before the movies over).

Anyway because it happens with some fies but not others im guessing this is an issue with the files not the server, Its not a renderer issue either as the media server itself displays the duration incorrectly.

Here are the details of two files one plays for the full 2 hours the other for 50 minutes.

    Incorrect time

If you've any idea whats the problem id love to know, Or a way to batch convert (transcoding the AC3 to AAC) the files to MP4 as Ive already got 700 of them.

    Thanks

Try repair it, use for example tsmuxer, open it and save as new ts file.

  3. edit tsmuxer gives "Possible container streams are not syncronized" only on the files that twonky but not media info reports as inaccurate length but tsremux can demux the streams

Muxing to MP4 made no difference whatsoever must be a codec problem
