Now, it worked the first time i tried, but when i was trying a second time the finished product in the "progress" window finished like the min i clicked "encode"... The size of the product was zero kb... When i click on the blue "i" in the progress window, this is the message:

Mac OSX universal build for ffmpegX
    libavutil version: 49.0.0
    libavcodec version: 51.9.0
    libavformat version: 50.4.0

    Stream #0.0, 25.00 fps(r): Video: mpeg4, yuv420p, 720x576

ffmpegX only detects one video stream, and no audio stream, while you are converting to a format that specifies two output streams (video and audio). That's why it's giving an error on the number of stream maps.
If your source file really only has video, then de-select "Encode audio" in the Audio tab of ffmpegX, before pressing the Encode button.

We have a ffmpegX forum. Moving you.

    And welcome to our forums.

  4. I'm having the same problem and am frustrated after spending HOURS trying to get a simple .mov file encoded to .flv. So if "ffmpegX only detects one video stream, and no audio stream, while you are converting to a format that specifies two output streams (video and audio).... then what do you do if your video has an audio track? If I "de-select "Encode audio" then there will be no sound. Thanks,

I would need more information to be able to suggest a course of action.
    - What does the ffmpegX Summary say about the source file (video and audio details)?
    - What does QuickTime Player's Movie Inspector (Cmd-I) say about the MOV file?
    - And please provide ffmpegX's Process Information log. (You may access the log by clicking the blue "i" in the ffmpegX Progress window after a conversion attempt.)

  6. Hello- I have the same challenge... trying to convert from mov to flv creates empty files immediately. Here is the info from my source:

    ffmpegX Process summary:
Encoding started on Mon Aug 9 13:28:46 PDT 2010
FFmpeg version CVS, Copyright (c) 2000-2004 Fabrice Bellard
Mac OSX universal build for ffmpegX
    libavutil version: 49.0.0
    libavcodec version: 51.9.0
    libavformat version: 50.4.0
    Seems that stream 1 comes from film source: 1000.00 (1000/1) -> 12.00 (12/1)
    Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from '/Users/billhall/Movies/iShowU HD/DecExampleSimulation.mov':
    Duration: 00:09:47.0, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 256 kb/s
Stream #0.0(eng): Audio: aac, 44100 Hz, stereo
    Stream #0.1(eng), 12.00 fps(r): Video: mpeg4, yuv420p, 762x511
Codec type mismatch for mapping #0.0 -> #0.0

    cmd-i info:
    Dimensions: 762x511
    Codecs: AAC, MPEG-4 Video
    Duration: 9:47
    Audio Channels: 2
    Total Bit Rate: 229

What am I doing wrong? Any tips?

    Thanks!
