I'm striking out thus far and need advice as to how to get up and operational.
I connected the A1 via firewire to my computer which is running Windows Vista Home Edition SP 2.
Launched HDV Split which did not recoginize that the A1 was connected.
Does HDV Split compatiable with an A1?
Do I need a driver for the A1?
What is my next step please?
All suggestions welcomed.
Thank you

if you are talking about the xh-a1 then yes it will capture the tape if the camera is set to export HDV not DV over firewire.
no drivers needed.--
