Resize MKV

so im looking for tools to resize my 20gb mkv's to a smaller size like 9gb

i have tried handbrake but it takes so long and sometimes it fails and quits on me ..

can anyone help

Reconverting hd h264 will take time. But try uncropmkv, under bitrate change the bitrate for lower file size(use a bitrate calc like videocalc to calculate the output file size).

Or xmedia recode.

edit: I see that you are using mac os now. Well....maybe avidemux might work better.
